How do you calculate working days between dates?
Count the included calendar dates, then exclude the selected weekend days and any manually entered holidays that fall on otherwise working days. Start and end dates can each be included or excluded.
All dates are iterated as calendar dates without an external holiday service or jurisdictional assumptions.
Working days = included calendar days − configured weekend days − included weekday holidays.
Worked example
Monday, August 10 through Friday, August 14, 2026 contains 5 working days when both endpoints are included and Saturday and Sunday are weekends.
Important cases
- A holiday on a configured weekend is not subtracted twice.
- Reversed date ranges return an error.
- Start and end dates may be independently included or excluded.
